It can get very crowded thou and in that lays the dangerous of this wave as well. So make sure you follow the Surf Etiquette and show respect in the water, to keep this a magical place for everyone.
Cathedral
For the more advanced surfers there is the Reef at Cathedral. The Reef is the North side of the Slab. Named ``Isli``, Berber for husband, by local Moroccan women who are picking mussels at low tide, because of the rocky bottom. Don't think of surfing the south side of the Slab! It's a left hander, perfect for the shorterboards or bodyboards. An amazing wave all year-round which breaks on the left-corner of the slab, good spot when smaller conditions, especially in summer time and with southern swell as well.
Cathedral
At the other side of the village you find Cathedral. The middle of the beach consist of multiple A-Frame peaks, going to the left and right and a sand bottom. Works best with high tide. The wave can be more aggressive, depending on the swell. Good for beginners on smaller days and lots of fun on bigger days for short boarders.
Cathedral
A shorter, but more steep and always bigger, right hand point break you find in Cathedral. Exactly this is Cathedral's main spot. Lots of fun and on big days it will get your adrenaline pumping. The wave works both at low and high tide. Especially high tide when there is a good north western swell, even more when it reaches 2.5 meter. When waves are 1.5 meter or more, it is a powerful and pretty tough peak which requires a certain level of surfing skills. It is well known for its steep wave which can turn into a barrelling monster - up to 6 meter high, when big winter swells come.
